A CHILLING NOVEL ABOUT THE ISOLATION OF BEING STALKED AND THE ABUSE OF POWER.
Olivia Peters is over the moon when her literary idol, the celebrated novelist and muchadored local priest Mark D. Brendan, offers to become her personal writing mentor. But when Father Mark’s enthusiasm for Olivia’s prose develops into something more, Olivia’s emotions quickly shift from wonder to confusion to despair. Exactly what game is Father Mark playing, and how on earth can she get out of it?
This remarkable novel about overcoming the isolation that stems from victimization is powerful, luminous, and impossible to put down.
My Thoughts:
This Gorgeous Game is chilling and haunting.. It's not as intense as Ellen Hopkins but it's... well to me it was disturbing. A Priest. Stalker's. Dangerous. Obsession. It's just creepy.

I really liked the concept of TGG. For me the pace was a little slow... i wanted a little bit more of something.... but I enjoyed Donna's writing, it was emotion. I can't imagine how she came up with the story.

The characters are well crafted and raw. I just can't help feel sorry for Olivia. She's the victim. Father Mark "traps" Olivia, He calls obsessively and tries to belittle her in a way.At times i felt she was blind. There were alot of red flags. She could have ended the obsession sooner. She always had supportive and protective friends, out of them all Jamie was my favorite. He is the light in the dark.I like to think that he is Olivia's knight in shining armor.

This Gorgeous Game is an eye opener. The ending couldn't have been better. I wouldn't say it's a Happily Ever After with the emotional effects that it can have on it's victims is intriguingly haunting.
