Author Interview: Heather Davis

Today I'm thrilled to be interviewing author Heather Davis about her debut novel, Never Cry Werewolf . Which is now available! 

                                                            

 Since you already picked an actor for Austin(Heather Ledger*hot*, good choice that's how i pictured Austin) what actress would be Shelby?

I really like the girl from The Wizards of Waverly Place.   Originally, I had Amber Tamblyn in mind, but that was a few years ago when I wrote the book.

What part of your novel was the most fun to write?

I love the scenes in the forest.  I'm an "action" person - so I really like when I get to take readers on an adventure. Having been lost in the woods before, it was easy to get down on the page.

How did you feel when Never Cry Werewolf turned into book form?

I was really excited to see the first copies of Werewolf in a Barnes & Noble in Seattle.  And of course, signing the books at my local indie store for the launch party was surreal.  We had a great turnout - way better than I could have dreamed.

What’s your favorite Halloween candy?

Do I have to pick one?  I like chocolate a lot.  Maybe too much.  But on halloween, I'll go with Peanut Butter cups or Whoppers.

Can you share a little of your current work with us?

My next book is The Clearing, which comes out in April 
2010.  It's the story of a girl healing from an abusive relationship who meets a boy stuck in the endless summer of 1944.  It deals with themes of moving forward with your life, making your own choices, learning to trust again.  It's a serious, romantic book for 14 and up, nothing like the very whimsical Werewolf - but it has a similar emotional heart.  I hope readers who like paranormal and time travel elements will enjoy it.
