A Match Made in High School Title: A Match Made In High School
Author: Kristin Walker

ISBN13: 9781595142573
Age Range: Young Adult
277 pages

When the principal announces that every senior must participate in a mandatory year-long Marriage Education program, Fiona Sheehan believes that her life can’t get any worse. Then she marries her “husband”: Jerky jock Todd, whose cheerleader girlfriend, Amanda, has had it in for Fiona since day one of second grade. Even worse? Amanda is paired with Fiona’s long-term crush, Gabe. At least Fiona is doing better than her best friend, Marcie, who is paired up with the very quiet, very mysterious Johnny Mercer. Pranks, fights, misunderstandings, and reconciliations ensue in an almost Shakespearean comedy of errors about mistaken first impressions, convoluted coupling, and hidden crushes.

thoughts:
I like it, it sounds so cute. I don't know what i would do if that happened to me,die of humiliation. We don't even do that "pretend to have a baby thing" u know when they had u carrying around an egg or something like that :D

  1. Sounds like this book capitalizes on that awkward brand of humor that you can't avoid in high school settings...should be fun!

p.s. at my school it was a 10 lb. bag of flour that you had to carry around.

  2. This does sound cute. I always kind of wished my school would do these marriage / baby tasks because I'd see them in books or on TV and they looked really fun. In reality, it probably is pretty humiliating. Still, I'd enjoy reading about it. Nice pick!

  5. I've never done the egg thing either -- and I don't think I've met anyone who has!
